Fermented Cowboy pee mixed with galveston water. Oh my goodness so true. I remember when I was in college, all 4 of us room mates would put our money 2gether and add up 8-10 dollars in dimes nickes and crumpled bills and go to the ghetto store and buy a 24 pk and drink that shit up. it was amazing how far cheep beer can get u. Colt .45 in 40oz was another perfered for exactly $1.45. That shit used to get us super wasted. I havent had Lone Star in 9 years. Recently me n a few buddys went to go see Obutuary, and they ranout of Hieneken. ANd I was saying 'these redneck metalheads dnt drink hieniken' 'so what else u got' i asked the bar keep, all mexican beers they had, which i so looked over. Then he said SHiner but i told him i was not gonna pay $7.50 for a 12oz can for that, then he said Lone Star, i said 'i'll take 1'. I opened it, and the 1st sip goes in and i was around the lines of 'what the fuck is this shit' i saw a few ppl drinking the shit kicking piss like water. I took a sip in denial, I was assured this was horrible. But it was this bad when we were drinking this in college. So i took just 1 more. and it solidified that this is was indeed fuckin horrible. I offered it to a few of the guys that i was there with, one dude was like 'i'll take it' slammed it and said 'man that was great' i was disgusted by his praised of that Fermented coyboy pee mixed with Galveston water. Next time when i go to a show, I'm drinking in the car b4 i get out. U cant drink in the open in Texas. Something about open containor and public intoxication i dnt no.

I am so very tempted to do that as an independent blogger and beer advocate. I'm not sure that would endear them to myself in my current role as UNYHA el Presidente, though... Maybe I will poll the populace and see what they say :)

@Tony:

My error in slighting anyone's techniques. I got on a roll and got mouth diarrhea.

There is no "right" way to brew, there really is no "wrong" way either. It will all make beer, and whether it is the best beer one could make is the ultimate goal. I know that I have a good number of "don't try this at home, kids" moments when I brew, but they work for me (so far). Every brewer finds the technique and process that works best for them. There is lots of trial and error, and once one finds the equipment or procedure that gives the best results they should by all means stick with it (though remain open to suggestions for other methods for further improvement).

Cheers and brew well
